Duration 8mins 23secs) Conceived and shot as a promotional short, an excerpt from the feature script of DARK INVASION, as a piece to help generate finance and interest in making the feature and to attract talent to the project. AFRAID OF THE DARK has been accepted into the 64th Cannes Film Festival's short film corner, representatives from the UKFILMCO will be attending the festival in May trying to raise awareness about the project and the rest of UKFILMCO’s development slate.
DARK INVASION (Feature in development, script available on request) Sci-fi / Horror/Action drama A highly original and commercial multi-genre feature film, set in the near future when the earth is invaded by an alien creature that is global in size. It lives in shadow and kills by night by borrowing into living flesh and consuming all bone and calcium in a body before discarding the remaining skin and meat of its victims carcase. Within days ninety nine point nine percent all life on Earth is consumed, a survivor finds himself besieged by a vicious alien monster intent on eating his bones. This is intended to be a dark and very, very scary film. Cert PG
